The BAC JCoS is a group of dedicated Jewish Scouters working together to ensure that the 12th point of the Scout law is an integral part of every Jewish Scout's experience. We provide a full range of Jewish programming to encourage Jewish Scouts to earn their religious emblems, celebrate their Jewish identity in scouting activities and promote the spirit of brotherhood and understanding among Jewish Scouts, as well as between Jewish Scouts and Scouts of other faiths. Other programs and activities are listed, below. The Committee meets on fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m., at the Park Heights Jewish Community Center. Join us at our next meeting.
The mission of the Baltimore Area Council Jewish Committee on Scouting is to promote Scouting's ideals of Reverence and Duty to G-d by encouraging Boy Scouting among Jewish youth, to help Jewish institutions and local Jewish units to provide Scouting opportunities for Jewish youth, and to advance Jewish values through Scouting and promote the religious emblems program.
